OVERVIEW:

Newly hired programmers are required to assist in the development and modification of proprietary information systems which include both database and code components for desktop delivery systems, loyalty programs and scheduling programs. In this role the individual will assist in preparing detailed specifications, from which systems will be constructed, then design, code, test, debug, document and maintain those systems. Approximate programming/analysis percentage split is 70/30.

Other tasks:
• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs documents and maintain those programs. Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities, but requires instruction and guidance in other phases.
• Manage project work and deliver results to business leaders • Oversees various systems projects of a highly complex nature including:

– Gather business and technical requirements
– Design solutions based on requirements
– Write object-oriented code to design specifications
– Develop and modify applications software
– Test and debug programs
– Manage solution deployment, working with others as required
– Modify existing or third party software for internal use
– Write relational database queries to report data
– Report to lead analyst on project progress and success
– Organize and prioritize project work

• Must be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate activities of the team.
• Communicates with top information Systems Executive, functional area manager and/or Consultant regarding status of specific projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Please do not apply unless you have at least 2 years experience in ALL of the following technologies:

- .Net Framework
- Object oriented programming
- Active Server Pages (ASP) and VBScript
- VB.net programming language
- Relational Database theory
- Structured Query Language (SQL)

* Associate Degree (or higher) in Computer Information Systems or related field preferred.
* Ability to manage complex development projects.
* Understand the software development life cycle (SDLC) and the process to building quality applications.
* Solid organization skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure, as well as with others to complete team-based projects.
* Ability to legally work on a fulltime/permanent basis for any United States employer – sorry but we are not sponsoring candidates at this time
